Good to Know!
  • Applying online - We are currently taking applications online. Go to http://www.azsdayouth.com/ to register. On the home page under Application follow the link "Please, click here to submit your application now." You must be paid in full to reserve your spot before you arrive at camp. *If for some reason you cannot register online, we will have a Registration Computer available at the Conference Office.
  • Acceptance - We'll send your confirmation to the email address you provide
  • Check-In - Registration is from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sundays. Coming early? While that's ok, we are not set up to provide early registrations. Our time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. is spent preparing for the next week. Please plan to be at camp until your child has completed registration. Your camper's first meal with us is Sunday supper and their last meal is the following Sunday breakfast.
  • Check-Out - is from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. To ensure your child's safety, campers are only allowed to leave after we verify that the photo ID of the adult picking them up matches your instructions to us. We will need to verify with a guardian any changes.
  • Cabins - campers sleep in cabins which hold up to ten people in bunk beds. Each camper will need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow and/or bed linens.
  • Meals - Campers receive specially prepared  kid-friendly vegetarian meals in our dining room three times a day. We ask that you provide for any allergies or other special dietary needs.
  • Weather - it is typically warm but can be unpredictable. Summer days are in the high 90's. Nights are often cool and we often receive rain. Bring a rain jacket, warm sweater and long pants.
  • Health and Medical Care - A registered nurse or doctor is on duty at camp 24 hours a day. In addition, each staff member hold current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Camp Store - Our camp store offers souvenirs such as: t-shirts, jackets, water bottles, Frisbees, stuffed animals, and other great stuff. We encourage campers to keep any money they bring to camp in the "Camp Bank" for safety reasons. Money not spend is returned at check out.
  • Mail call - campers love to receive mail. Please mail your letters or packages early to make sure your camper receives his/her mail. Please do not send food, sweets, or anything from our DO NOT bring list.
  • Phone calls - Please limit your phone calls to your camper to emergencies, they are very busy throughout the day and do not want to hold up their cabin-mates. Cell phone policy: Due to safety issues, we ask that you please leave cell phones at home. If there are to be any exceptions, the child will need to give the cell phone to the counselor and it will be available during rest period only.
  • Visitors - We appreciate your interest in our youth camp. We invite you to visit ONLY on opening day of registration and on closing day.
  • Refunds - To ensure our rates stay low, we have a NO REFUND POLICY. Please do not ask for exceptions.

A staff member will be there to greet you and ensure your child's safety from drop off to pick up. This bus will leave at 10:30 a.m. and will bring the campers back by 3:00 p.m. the following Sunday.
  • Photography - We sometimes photograph or record video and/or audio of campers and visitors for promotional  purposes. Your presence at Camp Yavapines grants permission for our use of these images and recordings.
  • Extended Campers - Staying an extra week? campers staying over will be supervised during the trasition on Sunday, eat a tasty lunch and have their laundry done so they can start the next week fresh. $20 extra will be added to your bill to help compensate for the extra time.

Pathfinder Bible Achievement 2011

March 5 is the Pathfinder Bible Achievement Conference/State Level. Only the clubs who participated in the Area Level and received enough points are able to move on to this level. Pretty exciting ... this year we have 10 clubs competing:

  • Alpha&Omega from the Phoenix Central Spanish Church
  • Los Mensajeros from East Valley SDA Church
  • Camp Verde Calvalry from the you guessed it Camp Verde Church
  • Scottsdale from the Scottsdale Thunderbird Church
  • Maranatha from West Valley
  • Tucson Midvale Mustangs from Tucson Midvale Park
  • Khronos from Tucson Central Church
  • Panthers from Chandler
  • Orion
  • Knights of God from Shalom
Good luck to all the clubs! I hope you've been studying. I and II Corinthians are the books of the Bible being studied this year. The program starts at 3:00 p.m. at the Thunderbird Scottsdale church for anyone who'd like to support their favorite club.

Union Level is next, and finally the Divisional Level in Michigan. God bless the Bible scholars!
